OCEANSIDE–The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office released the identity of a man whose body was found near the Oceanside Pier Monday afternoon.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Paul Ventura, of Escondido.
Lifeguards found his body in the surf line South of the Pier. On May 25, Ventura slipped and fell into the water after taking a selfie from the Oceanside Pier.
