LA MESA–A man shot earlier Thursday in an officer-involved shooting at in La Mesa has been identified, according to La Mesa Department.
The suspect, 36-year-old Daniel Chase McKibben, was a person of interest in a homicide that occurred on Wednesday on Niagara Street in Ocean Beach, investigators said.
The details on how McKibben was identified have not being released at this time. Any possible relationship between McKibben and the residents in the 7900 block of Rainey Street in La Mesa are still being investigated.
McKibben is still listed as being in stable condition.
