OCEANSIDE–A man was fatally shot early Monday morning near a residence in Oceanside, authorities said today.
Just after 6 a.m., Oceanside police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4700 block of Calle Estrella Street. Officers arrived on scene and found a Hispanic male with a gunshot to the stomach. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male 20 to 27 years of age, clean shaven with a skinny face. He was reported to have fled in a white Acura.
