CARLSBAD–A man suspected of five armed robberies throughout San Diego county was arrested January 24 in Vista, the Carlsbad Police Department said.

On January 24 at 3 p.m., Carlsbad police detectives with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department arrested 49-year-old Michael Alfred Miller.

Carlsbad police and the Sheriff’s deputies worked together to identify Miller as a suspect in the robberies over the past month. Evidence linking Miller to several of the robberies was located during the investigation. Miller was booked into the Vista Detention Facility for multiple counts of robbery, burglary, criminal threats, and possession of stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing.
