OCEANSIDE–The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library will turn 50 in 2021. As part of the year’s celebrations and fundraising efforts, the organization has instituted new membership opportunities for Oceanside businesses.
For 2021 only, local businesses can become annual members for just $50, a new level that will be called the 50/50 Club. Members of the 50/50 Club will be able to continue their $50 annual membership into the future and provide a valuable source of revenue for the Library.
Additional levels are Business Bronze, $100; Business Silver, $250; Business Gold, $500; and Business Platinum, $1,000 and above. New Business Friends of the Oceanside Public Library will have their businesses listed in future issues of the See Gull Newsletter, which potentially reaches thousands of readers through emails, Library handouts, and website and social media postings. New members also receive a certificate, and a sticker or window cling for posting at their place of business.
The promotion and anniversary commemoration kick off with a Mayoral proclamation at the Oceanside City Council meeting on January 6.
The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and all-volunteer organization. All proceeds from fundraising events and memberships support Oceanside Public Library programs and resources.
