FALLBROOK–Homicide detectives today has identified a man found dead February 18 in a remote area of Fallbrook.
Detectives say the victim has been identified as 57 year-old Gilberto Martinez. He is also known by the name of Gilberto Martinez Tinoco.
The Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy of the remains on February 19 and ruled the death a homicide caused by blunt force trauma to upper body.
On February 18 at about 6:27 p.m. deputies from the Sheriff’s deputies received a call to respond to a remote section of Via Del Gavilan Road near Ranchitos Road regarding the discovery of a deceased person. When deputies arrived they found the remains of a partially decomposed Hispanic male adult.
