Escondido, CA–The Escondido Police Department is asking the public for gift donations to make Christmas a little bit brighter for kids this holiday season.

Every year the department hosts an annual Children’s Christmas Party to give kids who have been the victims of abuse, neglect, and violent crime, a Christmas they might not otherwise get to experience. The party will take place in early December.

The police department will accept new, unwrapped gifts for a boy or girl ages newborn to 18 years old.

The party will include food, a magic show, arts and crafts, face painting, and a visit with Santa Claus. Every child in attendance will receive gifts.

The gift donations can be dropped off at these locations:

Escondido PD Front Lobby – 1163 N Centre City Parkway

Escondido Federal Credit Union – 201 North Broadway

Escondido City Hall – 201 North Broadway

Blue Mug Coffee and Tea –  1882 West El Norte Parkway, Escondido

CrossFit Point A – 969 Rancheros Dr. Suite A, San Marcos

“We appreciate the generosity and continued support we receive from the community every year for this event. We could not do this without your help.” the Escondido Police Department stated in their news release.

The Escondido police will be collecting gifts until December 1.
