Lemon Grove, CA–The wife of a local pastor was arrested in connection with the alleged shooting death of her husband at their home Monday in Lemon Grove, authorities said.

Gabriela Rose Shepherd, 26, was charged with suspicion of the murder of her husband, the Reverend Noah Shepherd, pastor of San Diego Reformed Presbyterian Church in Lemon Grove. She was booked into Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility.   

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted the autopsy Wednesday of Noah Shepherd. The preliminary cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is homicide, the report states. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 6 p.m. report of a shooting in the 2500 block of Camino de las Palmas in Lemon Grove.

When deputies arrived, they found 29-year-old Noah Shepherd shot in the backyard of his home. Deputies attempted life-saving efforts until relieved by fire personnel. Shepherd was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
