VISTA–A 4-year-old child was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway in Vista, Sheriff’s Deputies said Friday.
Just before 11 a.m., deputies were dispatched to investigate a vehicle collision in the 800 block of East Bobier Drive. The initial investigation revealed a 66-year-old female driving a 2005 Honda CRV westbound on E. Bobier Drive struck the boy crossing the roadway midblock at the location. The child was transported to Rady’s Children’s Hospital through Life Flight, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision.
