San Diego, CA–A two-alarm fire tore through the vacant In Cahoots bar and dance hall in Mission Valley early Saturday morning, destroying the once-popular country venue.
The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department received calls of a structure fire in the 5300 block of Mission Center Road around 1:40 a.m.
Firefighters arriving on the scene found the building engulfed in flames, with several trees also on fire behind the structure. The incident commander called for additional firefighters to contain the blaze and prevent further spread.
Nearby buildings sustained no damage, and no injuries were reported.
Once a bustling bar and dance hall, In Cahoots closed its doors in 2018 following the sale of the property.
The fire department’s Metro Arson Strike Team is investigating the incident.
