CARLSBAD–Carlsbad police released the names of a man and woman found dead inside a North County home in early February.
The victims were identified as 44-year-old Mary Knott and 33-year-old Hilton Williams of Carlsbad.
On February 13, at 6:09 p.m., Carlsbad Police Department responded to the 500 block of Village Drive to conduct a welfare check at a residence. Officers had been informed that a resident inside the home had sent a message to a family member indicating that he had killed his ex-girlfriend and was going to kill himself.
Upon arriving, officers forced entry into the home and located two bodies inside.
The incident is under investigation.
