LEMON GROVE–A bicyclist was killed after he collided with a vehicle in Lemon Grove on Thursday, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reports.
The Sheriff’s Department Communications Center received a call at around 7:50 p.m of a vehicle collision with a bicyclist on Massachusetts Avenue and Westview Place.
Deputies from the Lemon Grove Sheriff’s Station located a man with visible injuries to his lower extremities. He was transported to Scripps Mercy hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The other involved party stayed on scene and there was no indication of alcohol or drug intoxication.
The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was called and the Lemon Grove Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.
