CASA DE ORO–Authorities served a search warrant on Thursday at the Spring Valley Collective marijuana dispensary in Casa De Oro.

Detectives and the Rancho San Diego Crime Suppression Team served the warrant just before 9 a.m. at the dispensary’s location in the 9900 block of Delores Street. County code enforcement officers were also on scene and assisted with the operation.

The search warrant was the direct result of numerous complaints from residents regarding the illegal marijuana dispensary. The owner of Spring Valley Collective is currently violating San Diego County Zone ordinance 6976. Deputies located a large amount of marijuana, marijuana edibles, cash, a loaded BB Pistol, marijuana paraphernalia as well as items used in the sales of marijuana. One employee was detained for sales of marijuana. No arrests were made. The investigation is on-going.

All medical and non-medical marijuana facilities are banned in the unincorporated area of San Diego county as of April 14, 2017. Even though Prop 64 went into effect on January 1, 2018, medical and non-medical (recreational use) marijuana facilities are not allowed to operate in the county. All new and existing illegal marijuana facilities in the unincorporated area of San Diego county are subject to enforcement action.
