SANTEE–Authorities are searching for a man who attempted to lure a nine-year-old girl into his vehicle, while she was riding her bicycle in Santee, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department said Thursday.

The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. in the 8000 block of Poplin Drive. The man asked her if she would like a ride to a “game.”  The girl became scared and rode her bicycle away from the man back to her home. The girl was not injured during the incident.

The man is described as a white male, 60 to 70 years-old, with white hair, and wearing a red hat and chrome sunglasses. The vehicle is described as a silver 1984-1990 Chevrolet Corvette with “T-Tops.” The license plate is still unknown however, possibly a disabled plate from an unknown state.
