Carlsbad, CA–Carlsbad police have launched an investigation into a suspicious phone call of a bomb threat Monday afternoon at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.
Due to the size of the resort, Carlsbad police, along with resort security and management, requested assistance from the Carlsbad Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, Oceanside Police Department K9 unit, United States Marine Corp K9 unit, and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities spent several hours on security sweeps of various locations at the resort. After no bomb was found, investigators concluded that the threat was found to be false.
The investigation into the origin is ongoing.
