San Diego, CA–It has been more than a year since the murder of 59-year-old Kenneth Love II in Spring Valley.
Homicide detectives, family members passed out flyers Wednesday to generate new leads in security guard’s murder.
The Sheriff’s Department, Love’s family, and senior volunteers from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station, distributed flyers in the community he worked in with new information that could lead to the person responsible for his murder.
Love was shot and killed while working as a security guard in the 8700 block of Troy Street on June 2, 2020. Sheriff’s homicide detectives have singled out a person of interest from surveillance video taken the night of the shooting.
Detectives say the person of interest might have been driving a 2018 Toyota Camry the night of Love’s murder.
Love’s family is still offering a $3,000 reward in addition to San Diego County Crime Stoppers’ $1,000 reward-for a $4,000 total reward-to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
The Sheriff’s Department, along with the FBI, are investigating the incident.
