SAN DIEGO–Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort, San Diego’s premier waterfront RV destinations, remain open to accommodate essential travelers and essential workers this winter.

“Many of our guests think of Campland and Mission Bay RV Resort as a home away from home,” said Ahmed Ait-Lahcen, General Manager of Campland on the Bay. “For essential travelers who are looking for a comfortable and convenient place to reside during this time, we welcome them to shelter in our accessible, bayfront setting.”

Amenities available to guests at both resorts include takeout dining from the onsite Cantina restaurant, a convenience market and coffee counter, dog park, playground, and year-round onshore and aquatic recreation activities. For essential travelers and essential workers with school-aged children, the Open-Air Study Halls are available weekdays from 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. through the school year. A quiet and shaded area, the space allows kids to attend school virtually at thoughtfully spaced tables equipped with power supplies and wireless internet access.

As part of the state’s critical infrastructure providing shelter and other essential services, Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort are open for Californians needing to stay in the San Diego area for “work or study, critical infrastructure support, economic services and supply chains, health, immediate medical care, and safety and security,” according to the California Department of Public Health. All guests are required to sign a form upon registration acknowledging their compliance with government guidelines.

Both Campland and Mission Bay RV Resort are offering a 10 percent discount for COVID-19 responders, such as healthcare/medical workers, and frontline responders. This offer is valid through January 31, 2021 and can be redeemed by calling the reservations department.

For guests who do not own an RV, Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort work with a number of local RV rental companies that will deliver a sanitized RV to your site, all hooked up and ready to enjoy.
