San Diego, CA–Campland on the Bay, San Diego’s waterfront RV camping destination, will resume the popular Campland Rocks live music program while adding new ways for guests to enjoy the outdoors this summer.
“We’re thrilled to bring back our incredible live music schedule and give guests new reasons to get excited about the summer,” says Ahmed Ait-Lahcen, General Manager of Campland on the Bay. “The beauty of Campland is that we offer so many unique ways to have fun outside. There truly is something for everyone, and it’s one of the many reasons why families return year after year.”
Campland Rocks returns each Friday and Saturday evening beginning Friday, June 18, inviting campers to spread out on the spacious Central Park lawn while enjoying a live performance by Southern California’s top tribute bands.
Just steps from the action, stop by the resort’s Cantina restaurant serving up family favorites including pizza, tacos, burgers and fresh salads. Adult beverages are also available, including craft cocktails, beer and wine. Return for breakfast on weekend mornings to indulge in made-to-order breakfast burritos, pancakes and delicious breakfast sides. Dine al fresco with a breathtaking view of the bay or take your meal to-go.
Take advantage of the resort’s premium bayfront location with exciting, family-friendly activities including pontoon boat rentals and the new giant water slide. From the sandy beach, climb the 27-foot inflatable and slide down to the landing pad filled with water. Explore Mission Bay with the whole family on Campland’s upgraded fleet of pontoon boats, or get active with an array of watersports activities like stand-up paddleboards, pedal boats and kayaks.
More fun is to be had on-shore with an ever-evolving activity schedule throughout the summer including arts and crafts for kids, bubble soccer, dodgeball, and outdoor family movie nights. Stay centered during a midweek getaway and join Campland’s new, complimentary yoga classes held on the Central Park lawn Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Additional amenities include beach cruiser and electric bike rentals, a convenience market and coffee counter, dog park, playground, and heated pools and spas. All of Campland’s activities and amenities are available to guests staying overnight at Mission Bay RV Resort, accessible via a short walk or bike ride over the Mike Gotch Memorial Bridge.
For guests who are new to camping or do not own an RV, Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort have a directory of local RV rental companies listed on their websites that will deliver a sanitized RV to your site, all hooked up and ready to enjoy. RV arrangements must be made directly through the rental companies. Tent camping is also available at Campland on the Bay.
