SAN DIEGO–JoyWorks Network is taking its fundraising to another level of fun every Thursday for a charity-driven cocktail hour inside the cozy Huntsman Bar at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe.

Every week features a new charity so that Ranch residents and neighboring communities can band together to raise both awareness and funds.

Every week, Dutch House, the talented Mixologist and Bar Manager of the Hunstman, shakes up a new JoyWorks Signature Cocktail for participants. For those who order a “JoyWorks Cocktail” every Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, the Inn will donate $1 to the charity of the evening. Patrons also have the opportunity to make additional donations and pre-purchase signature drinks for friends and family members to be enjoyed at a later date.

Spearheaded by the founder of JoyWorks and Rancho Santa Fe resident, Janet Lawless Christ, “Good Joy Hunting Happy Hour in The Huntsman,” is a meaningful place to gather with friends while raising money for local nonprofits.

“These days, the news is reporting sweeping bad news, selfish behavior and dystopian negativity. Joyworks is the antidote focusing on people, activities, and products that uplift people and help others all along the way,” she said.

Lawless Christ shared how the signature cocktail hour sparked one evening when having drinks at the Huntsman and crediting House for being the brainchild of Good Joy Hunting Happy Hour in the Huntsman.

“Our most recent signature cocktail that Dutch stirred up was a ‘Joy-Hito’ with muddled raspberry and mint, Cruzan Rum, lime juice, and St. George’s Raspberry Liqueur – it was a bundle of joy indeed,” she said.

Lawless Christs shared how its non-profit recipients will be local, relatable and doing great work in the community for a variety of causes addressing pets, orphans and fostering youth, homeless population, victims of California wildfires, supporting firefighters, urban gardens and the environment.

The nonprofits on the roster include:

Jan. 17: Tender Loving Canines
Jan. 24: Door of Faith Orphanage
Jan. 31: Spot Saves Pets One At A Time
Feb. 7: Homeless Garden Project
Feb. 14: Breast Cancer Angels
Feb. 21 Brain Tumor Foundation
Feb. 28: Connect-Med International (Cleft Palate Surgery)

“With 52 weeks a year, we as a community can make a profound impact to so many important causes that are underfunded and underserved,” Lawless Christ said. “This weekly event is just the beginning of many partnerships with the Inn to inspire compassion and embrace joy.”
