“Relay For Life is a unique opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against the disease,” City Manager Graham Mitchell said. “Many of the participants are cancer survivors, which serves as a reminder that our community is not immune to this disease and we can actually help our friends, families and neighbors whose lives have been affected by cancer,” Mitchell added.
The public is invited to attend a Luminaria Ceremony on May 17 at 8:30 p.m. to honor the community’s cancer survivors and to remember those lost to the disease.
