El Cajon, CA–EDCO and the City of El Cajon are sponsoring a free Paper Shredding and E-Waste Collection event for El Cajon residents on November 9.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Wells Park at 1153 East Madison Avenue.
El Cajon residents can safely dispose of two banker boxes (10” x 12” x 15”) of personal documents and electronic waste and have them shredded on-site. Unwanted electronics, including TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, VCRs, DVD players, and answering machines, will be collected.
EDCO will not accept household hazardous waste materials, appliances, or trash.
Goodwill will be at the event to accept donated reusable items. To view the list of items that Goodwill will not accept click here.
Free mulch will be given to residents (while supplies last) at the event. This is a self-serve, self-loading, and self-haul service, so please bring your own cans/bags, gloves, and shovel—there is a limit of 3 cans/bags per vehicle. Bring a tarp to cover your material if you plan to haul your mulch in an open truck or trailer.
