‘Digman!’ returns to Comedy Central for Season 2

By Gina Yarbrough

MTV Entertainment Studios has announced the return of the animated adventure comedy “Digman!,” with Season 2 set to premiere on July 9 on Comedy Central.

Set in a world where archaeologists are global superstars, the adult animated series features Andy Samberg as the voice of Rip Digman, the larger-than-life explorer at the heart of the show. The new season will air weekly at 10:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday nights, following new episodes of “South Park.”

Season 1 marked Samberg’s first venture as both writer and producer on an animated series. He co-created “Digman!” with showrunner Neil Campbell, known for his work on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”

Returning for Season 2 are cast members Mitra Jouhari (Three Busy Debras) as Saltine, Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave) as Swooper, Dale Soules (Orange Is the New Black) as Agatha, Guz Khan (Our Flag Means Death) as Zane, Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Bella, and Tim Meadows (The Goldbergs) as Quail Eegan.

Fans can catch up on Season 1 streaming on Paramount+ and Comedy Central Video On Demand. Episodes are also available for purchase on Apple, Amazon, Google Play, and Fandango at Home.

“Digman!” is produced by CBS Studios in association with Ali Bell and The Lonely Island’s Party Over Here banner. Titmouse executive produces, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina.
