Universal City, CA–Universal Studios Hollywood is set to launch its highly anticipated Halloween Horror Nights on September 5, running select nights through November 3.
This year’s event promises to deliver an electrifying experience with a star-studded lineup of haunted houses, including the return of multi-award-winning artist The Weeknd.
The Weeknd, known for his genre-defining music and enigmatic persona, is making a chilling comeback with an all-new haunted house, “The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy.” This follows his successful collaboration in 2022 with the “After Hours Nightmare” haunted house, inspired by his chart-topping album “After Hours.” The new attraction, featuring music scored by seven-time Grammy award winner Mike Dean, promises a terrifying journey through The Weeknd’s most nightmarish visions.
Adding to the thrills, the exclusive Terror Tram returns with “Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse,” inviting guests to step into the horrifying worlds of Blumhouse Productions’ most iconic films, including M3GAN, The Black Phone, Freaky, The Purge, and Happy Death Day. This immersive experience, set on the historic Universal Studios backlot, will challenge visitors to survive encounters with some of horror’s most fearsome characters.
As if that’s not enough, Leatherface, the infamous chainsaw-wielding killer, is back to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1974 slasher classic “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” The new haunted house, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface,” will take guests through an abandoned slaughterhouse, where they will face various iterations of Leatherface from across the franchise.
The scares don’t end there. The WaterWorld venue will host “The Purge: Dangerous Waters,” a fiery, rock-fueled adventure where guests must fight to survive the night. Additionally, scare zones throughout the park, including the newly introduced “Luchadores Monstruosos,” “Chainsaw Punkz,” “Skull Lordz,” and “Murder of Crowz,” will keep visitors on edge as they navigate the terror-filled night.
Halloween Horror Nights also features several other haunted houses, such as A Quiet Place from Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures’ horror-comedy Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, and Universal Pictures’ Classic Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines. Fans can also look forward to Insidious: The Further, Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America, and the original concept house Dead Exposure: Death Valley.
In addition to the haunted houses, guests can enjoy select theme park attractions open during the event, including Jurassic World—The Ride, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Super Nintendo World.
With less than a month until the event begins, fans are encouraged to purchase the popular Frequent Fear Pass, which allows access to up to 33 nights of spine-chilling entertainment. A variety of ticket options are now available, including the premium R.I.P. Tour, offering exclusive experiences and themed photo ops.
