Del Mar, CA–As the San Diego County Fair countdown begins, officials are rolling out a slate of money-saving deals to give carnival lovers a fun and affordable summer experience.
Fairgoers can take advantage of early-bird discounts online for both BlastPass ride-and-game credits and Pepsi Pay-One-Price ride wristbands. These promotions are part of the Fair’s broader effort to offer value-packed entertainment for families seeking a budget-friendly “summer staycation.”
Through midnight on June 10, guests who purchase BlastPass credits online will receive a 25% bonus. Normally, $50 purchases 40 credits, but with the limited-time bonus, buyers will receive 50 credits for the same price. During the Fair, each credit is valued at $1.25. Rides cost between four and 12 credits, while games range from four to eight credits.
Once the Fair opens on June 11, BlastPass credits can be purchased at redemption kiosks located in both the Fun Zone and Kids Zone. These credits are valid for all rides and games throughout the event but must be used before the Fair concludes. Admission to the Fair must be purchased separately.
In addition to BlastPass, fairgoers can grab discounted Pepsi Pay-One-Price wristbands for $50 — $5 off the regular price — if purchased before opening day. The wristbands grant unlimited ride access from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on select Wednesdays and Thursdays (June 11–12, 18–19, 25–26, and July 2–3). Wristbands must be redeemed by 6 p.m. on the day of use and are valid only in the carnival areas.
For those seeking even quicker ride access, the Fair will also offer a limited number of Fast Pass lanyards for $40, sold daily at the Fun Zone and Kids Zone ticket booths. These lanyards, which are sold in addition to BlastPass and wristbands, allow access to Fast Pass lanes for select popular rides.
This year’s San Diego County Fair will feature 70 rides and 49 carnival games, providing entertainment for all ages. More seasonal promotions and deals are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
