Oceanside, CA–Oceanside police are investigating an alleged stabbing involving juveniles that occurred Thursday evening in the city’s downtown area.
Officers responded around 9:20 p.m. to reports of a stabbing near the intersection of Seagaze Drive and Cleveland Street. At the scene, police found a juvenile victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital for treatment and was listed in stable condition, the Oceanside Police Department stated in a news release.
Investigators reviewed security video connected to the incident and were able to identify a juvenile suspect.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked into Juvenile Hall on charges related to attempted murder.
The Oceanside Police Department’s Special Enforcement Section is leading the investigation. Because the case involves juveniles, police said no additional details will be released at this time.
