San Diego, CA–San Diego County Regional Airport Authority will host two virtual “Meet the Primes” events for the local business community on November 1 and 8, officials say.

First introduced in 2015, “Meet the Primes” is a free annual event for the business community to connect with and learn from the Airport Authority, its partners, San Diego’s small business support service centers, and public agencies.

Through the Small Business Development department, the Airport Authority works towards maximizing small, local, veteran, and underrepresented business participation in contracts with the Airport Authority and its partners. Attendees will learn how to do business with the Airport Authority, construction and concession opportunities for the New T1 program, and more. Attendees will also learn about regional teaming, partnership, and contracting opportunities through one-on-one matchmaking meetings with prime contractors and Airport Authority departments including Small Business Development, Revenue Generation and Partnership Development, Accounting, Airport Design and Construction, Procurement, Quieter Home Program, Information and Technology Services, Labor Compliance, Finance, and Risk Management.

“This is a great opportunity to learn how to do business with the Airport Authority and our partners,” said Kimberly Becker, Airport Authority President and CEO. “These events provide useful information to small, local, veteran, and underrepresented businesses looking to grow their operation in an airport environment. We hope business owners will join us for one of our two events.”

The “Meet the Primes” event registration is open at https://mtp2022.mbmapp.com/.
