San Diego, CA–The annual DIRECTV Holiday Bowl has teamed with Qualcomm Technologies, Incorporated to kick off festivities with the Snapdragon Bowl Bash in the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego on Tuesday. 

The free event will feature the University of Louisville and USC marching bands performing at the corner of 5th Avenue and Market Street. The battle kicks off at 6 p.m. In addition to the Battle of the Bands, the event includes live music, games, contests, photo opportunities, and other fun activities. 

The Snapdragon Bowl Bash is named for Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon brand of platforms, which power experiences across many of the world’s premium smartphones, gaming and XR devices, connected cars, PCs, and wearables. The Snapdragon® mobile platform powers high-performance, immersive experiences in a vast ecosystem of consumer devices.

“We encourage San Diegans of all ages to attend the Snapdragon Bowl Bash,” said Dennis Dubard, president of the 2023 DIRECTV Holiday Bowl effort. “Everyone can enjoy the incredible university marching bands, have dinner, check out all the other entertainment, and get caught up in a college football atmosphere at its best.”
