San Diego, CA–Bringing together 54 employers from San Diego’s tourism and hospitality industries, the San Diego Tourism Foundation, the official nonprofit of the San Diego Tourism Authority, and San Diego Workforce Partnership are hosting the inaugural “San Diego Tourism Career Fair” on March 6 at San Diego City College.
Tourism is the second-largest segment of San Diego’s economy and employs more than 200,000 professionals, making it vitally important to the economic health of the region. At the event, jobseekers can connect face-to-face with top tourism and hospitality employers, explore hundreds of exciting job opportunities and discover career paths that can help them grow, earn and thrive in San Diego’s vibrant tourism industry. Participants are required to register in advance and come prepared for on-site interviews.
“Tourism and hospitality careers offer pathways to economic mobility and long-term growth,” said Daniel Kuperschmid, president and CEO, San Diego Tourism Authority. “Our 2023 workforce study shows that tourism careers span a wide range of industries, offer competitive wages, and often have low barriers to entry. For the one in eight San Diegans in a tourism related job, this industry provides flexibility, opportunity and the chance to build a meaningful career while supporting the region’s quality of life.”
Confirmed employers include: San Diego Padres, SeaWorld and Sesame Place San Diego, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, San Diego Convention Center, San Diego County Fair (22nd District Agricultural Association), Andaz San Diego, Baxter Hotel Group, Davidson Hotels and Resorts, Discover Coronado, Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa, Evans Hotels, Flagship Cruises and Events, Hyatt Regency La Jolla, and Intercontinental San Diego.
“San Diego’s tourism and hospitality industry offers meaningful opportunities for individuals to build skills, advance their careers, and achieve long-term stability,” said Rachel Bereza, President and CEO, San Diego Workforce Partnership. “By strengthening clear, supportive pathways into this sector, we’re helping job seekers access quality jobs while ensuring employers can connect with prepared, motivated talent. Collaborative job fairs like this create space for alignment and shared solutions that strengthen our region’s workforce from all sides of the table.”
The Tourism Career Fair will run 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at San Diego City College, A Building Patio, 1313 Park Boulevard in San Diego.

Parking is available on campus. There is no parking enforcement during event hours.
