Encinitas, CA–Rancho Coastal Humane Society will host its second annual Tees fore Tails golf tournament to benefit its programs for animals and people, officials said.

The tournament will be held on June 23 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa at 2100 Costa Del Mar Road in Carlsbad.

“When we held the first Tees fore Tails golf tournament last year, people had been cooped up indoors for a year during the Covid 19 pandemic,” says Rancho Coastal Humane Society spokesman John Van Zante. “The golfers were so happy to be outdoors in the sunshine and fresh air. During last year’s tournament, the golfers were already asking us to hold another tournament this year.”

There will be fun along the way with Closest to the Pin and Closest to the Hole contests, a Cannon Launcher, and furry animals from Rancho Coastal Humane Society.

There will also be a Hole in One contest with winners receiving a brand new car.

“Good friends, some furry friends, and great golf on a gorgeous course. And your play supports adoptable animals and pet families in need,” said Van Zante.

Check in begins at 11 a.m. There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Registration includes lunch, swag bags, a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., and an awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

The entry fee is $350 for individual golfers, $1,250 per foursome, or $75 for the reception.  The tournament is presented by John Stevenson Plumbing, Heating, and Air and Petco Love Foundation. Proceeds will support Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s programs.
