Andrade, CA–U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Andrade port of entry seized 87 packages of methamphetamine and fentanyl from a woman Tuesday.

At about noon on Sept. 8, a Customs and Border Protection officer with a canine was screening vehicles waiting for their inspection to enter the U.S., when the dog alerted to the driver side rear quarter panel on a white 2009 Jeep Wrangler. The officer escorted the driver and vehicle to a secure area for further inspection.

During a detailed inspection, officers discovered what appeared to be narcotics inside the driver side rear quarter panel and the gas tank of the vehicle. officers removed 82 packages with a total aggregate weight of almost 88 pounds of methamphetamine and five packages with a total aggregate weight of six pounds of fentanyl from the vehicle.
