SAN MARCOS–A female pedestrian walking on a sidewalk in San Marcos Sunday was fatally struck by a vehicle, the Sheriff’s department said Sunday.
A vehicle traveling westbound near 578 E. Mission Road collided with the pedestrian who was walking on the north sidewalk of the road. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain serious injuries; however the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries on scene.
