CHULA VISTA–A woman Thursday driving the wrong way on Interstate 5 collided with several vehicles, the California Highway Patrol reports.
CHP received a call just before 11:30 a.m. of a traffic collision involving a possible wrong way driver on northbound I-5, south of Palomar Street.
An 86-year-old female entered the northbound lanes from the Palomar Street off ramp. As she entered the northbound lanes she collided with three vehicles and sustained minor injuries. Two of the drivers sustained minor injuries and the third was uninjured. The three injured people were transported to area hospitals for treatment. The driver of the fourth vehicle was uninjured.
