SAN DIEGO–San Diego police has reported two San Diego police officers were shot in the Southcrest area. One suspect is in custody, according to authorities.
Additional squad cars and police helicopter searching the neighborhood for possible other suspects. Police have urged residents to stay indoors.
Condition of the two officers is unknown at this time.

UPDATE: San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman reports that one officers had died at Mercy Hospital. The second officer is in surgery.
