Encinitas, CA–Rancho Coastal Humane Society will pay special tribute to longtime supporters and animal advocates Jerry and Pam Cesak during the organization’s upcoming annual fundraising gala.
The “Celebration of Second Chances: The Next Chapter” will be held at 5 p.m. on September 19 at Del Mar Country Club, 6001 Clubhouse Drive in Rancho Santa Fe.
The gala will honor the Cesaks for their longtime passion and dedication to animal welfare. Jerry Cesak was also widely known as “Jer,” one-half of San Diego’s legendary “Jeff and Jer Radio Showgram,” which began in 1988.
Beyond his career in radio, Cesak served on the boards of both the Humane Society of the United States and Rancho Coastal Humane Society. Cesak died Jan. 4 at the age of 74.
The event will feature elevated food stations, cocktails, inspirational stories and auction items. Proceeds will benefit Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s programs and services supporting abandoned companion animals and families with pets.
Funds raised will help support programs including Friends of County Animal Shelters, Humane Education for children, the Animal Safehouse Program for families in crisis, the Community Medical Program, Pet Assisted Therapy and Brock’s Community Pet Food Bank, among other services.
“This is one of our signature events of the year and with every ticket purchased you are providing rescue, comfort and care to abandoned companion animals, and supporting the many programs designed to keep pets healthy, happy and together with their families,” said Judi Sanzo, president and CEO of Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
The organization said the event will help provide critical funding for programs that not only assist animals in need but also help San Diego County families keep their pets healthy, safe and in their homes.
Tickets are available now at Rancho Coastal Humane Society, or call (760) 519-8721.
