OCEANSIDE–A male’s body was discovered by lifeguards near the Oceanside Pier Monday afternoon, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
Lifeguards found the body about 12:30 p.m. in the surf line South of the Pier. The man’s body was recovered and will be released to the Medical Examiner.
On May 25, Paul Ventura, 20, slipped and fell into the water after taking a selfie from the Oceanside Pier.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after notification of his family.
