OCEANSIDE–A man found unconscious on an Oceanside street was fatally stabbed, Oceanside police said Thursday.
The victim was identified as being a 32 year-old Joseph Prince, according to Oceanside police.
Oceanside police dispatchers received phone calls at 3:45 p.m. regarding a traffic collision in the 100 block of Wisconsin. The collision was believed to be a vehicle versus a pedestrian. Officers responded to the area of Wisconsin and Meyers and found the male victim down in the street.
Witnesses at the scene described the possible suspect as a white male adult, approximately 30 years-old, wearing a red baseball cap, and blue jeans. The suspect is believed to have left the area riding a black beach cruiser bicycle.
