OCEANSIDE–Homicide investigators Thursday afternoon arrested an Oceanside resident, and charged him with first degree murder of a man found near a construction site in Oceanside.
The suspect, 30-year-old Mikhail Schmidt, was taken into custody by Oceanside police in the 900 block of The Strand.
Oceanside police dispatch received a 9-1-1 call at 5 a.m. of a medical aid in the 200 block of Windward Way. When first responders arrived on scene, they discovered a male victim, later identified as 37-year-old Jacob Laughlin Bravo, with a traumatic injury. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident being investigated as a homicide.
