VISTA–A 12-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run collision Tuesday in Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident happened at 4:48 p.m. along the 1000 block of Mar Vista Drive.
Deputies learned the victim had been struck by one vehicle which fled the scene. He was transported by air ambulance to Rady Children’s Hospital for injuries to his right leg and abrasions to his face.
The investigation indicated that the vehicle that struck the juvenile was a 2019 to 2020 white Toyota sedan. The sedan should have damage to the right mirror and possible front-end damage.
The Vista Traffic Division is handling the ongoing investigation.
