SANTEE–A pool maintenance worker was found dead Thursday in the pool at a residence in Santee, authorities said.
Deputies were called to assist the Santee firefighters with a possible drowning victim discovered face down in the pool at a residence located off of Chaparral Drive.
Fire crews removed the victim from the shallow end of the pool and discovered the body was already beginning rigor. Deputies discovered the 40-year-old victim was a pool maintenance worker.
The victim had no signs of trauma and there were no signs of foul play.
The Medical Examiner’s office removed the body for examination.
CalOSHA was notified of the industrial accident and responded to the scene.
