Oceanside, CA–A Oceanside fitness center was evacuated Thursday evening following reports of alleged threats by a man trapped inside a wall in a locker room at the facility.
The incident happened around 9:03 p.m. at LA Fitness, located at 2335 Vista Way, in the El Camino North Shopping Center.
The Oceanside Fire Department was called to the scene to rescue the man from the wall. Fire crews cut through the wall and pulled the man out. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
There were no reports of injuries to the center’s members.
The Oceanside Police Department has not released information on the man’s identity, or how he entered the facility’s wall.
