Del Mar, CA–A driver suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash after his BMW struck a large rock and an SDG&E utility box in Del Mar Wednesday, authorities said.
The solo collision occurred in the 2100 block of Jimmy Durante Boulevard around 10 a.m. near the Del Mar race tracks. The southbound lane of the divided road was closed for about four hours.
Southbound Jimmy Durante Boulevard at David Way was later reopened to traffic.
SDG&E will continue repair work until about midnight. The utility has provided traffic controllers to assist with north and southbound traffic.
