Deputy Responding To Vehicle Fire Collides With Trolley

SANTEE–A Sheriff’s deputy Monday responding to a vehicle fire in Santee collided with a southbound trolley, authorities say.

At 9:54 a.m., deputies from the Santee Sheriff’s station were responding to a vehicle fire at Prospect Avenue and Graves Avenue. A deputy entered the intersection of Prospect Avenue at Cuyamaca Street with his lights and siren activated and collided with the trolley. There were 12 passengers on the trolley at the time of the collision.

No injuries were reported. The Santee Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
