San Diego, CA–Cruise 4 Kids will host its 9th annual black-tie Teddy Ball to raise funds and collect plush teddy bears for sick and underprivileged children during the holidays.
The event kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla on November 26.
This year, Cruise 4 Kids, has set a record goal to raise $30,000 and collect 1,500 teddy bears which will be donated to support a variety of local youth charities, including Autism Tree Project Foundation, Miracle Babies, Promises2Kids, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito.
To entice donations for the nonprofit organization, Teddy Ball hosts, Shawnda Dorantes, founder of the San Marcos-based med spa, Beauty Lounge, is offering a $50 discount on filler treatments, now through Nov. 23 with a donation of a brand new teddy bear.
“The Teddy Ball is one of the most highly anticipated fundraising events in San Diego, allowing Cruise 4 Kids to make a huge impact on the children in our community who need it the most,” says Dorantes. “As a life-long resident and San Diego business owner, it is so important to give back to the community that supports us. It is an honor to be a Teddy Ball host this year, and I’m feeling optimistic that we’ll exceed our goal to raise 1500 teddy bears and $30,000 this year.”
Teddy Ball guests will be welcomed by a red carpet paparazzi experience upon their arrival before entering the ball for an unforgettable night of dancing and excitement, featuring a live DJ, multiple bars, mesmerizing performers, a candy buffet, and exotic cars. Attendees will have their choice of holiday photo opportunities to enjoy, such as posing with Santa and his elves, a photo booth, and diving into the event’s signature mountainous pile of plush teddy bears.
Single general admission tickets for the charitable event are available for pre-sale at $80 through Nov. 21 at cruise4kids.com/teddy-ball. After that date, the entry fee per person will be $100. Party-goers interested in accessing the event’s VIP lounge can purchase a VIP ticket for $250, which also includes four drink tickets and decadent desserts. In addition to ticketing, each guest is required to bring a new teddy bear.
Cruise 4 Kids is a San Diego-based, 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, making a difference in its local community by creating niché events and fundraisers to provide supplemental support to youth-centered local charitable organizations and orphanages. The nonprofit’s primary focus is on helping marginalized and underserved children and teens through community outreach, unique events, fundraising efforts, and branding assistance.
