Coronado, CA–The San Diego Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America will host the San Diego Team Hope Walk on October 22 at Coronado Tidelands Park.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the event starts at 9 a.m. All proceeds support the organization’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by Huntington’s Disease and their families.

“The San Diego Team Hope Walk is always a wonderful day,” said Mindy Schroeder, Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s San Diego Chapter President. “It is our most special, and my personal favorite event because it focuses on our families and gives us all an opportunity to connect with one another. It helps us feel like we are part of a bigger community and lets everyone know that they are not in it alone. I’m so excited to see old friends, and make new ones this year!”

Team Hope is Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s largest national grassroots fundraising event, which takes place in over 100 cities across the U.S. and has raised more than $20 million for Huntington’s Disease since its inception in 2007. Thousands of families, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and communities walk together each year to support the organization’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by Huntington’s Disease and their families.

Online registration and donation are available at hdsa.org/thwsandiego.

Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s Team Hope Walk Program is nationally sponsored by Genentech and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
