Vista, CA–Children can explore their creativity while learning about recycling at the Kids in the Garden: Recycled Art class on December 13 at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens.
Participants are encouraged to bring household items such as toilet paper rolls, meat trays, plastic bottles, and cereal boxes to use in their projects. The gardens will provide additional materials, including scissors, glue, masking tape, egg cartons, markers, watercolors, cotton, and toothpicks.
The $5 per person class fee includes admission to the gardens, where families can enjoy the grounds from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free for children whose families hold a garden membership. Grandparents with a family membership are also welcome to bring their grandchildren. Adults are required to stay with their children during the class.
Pre-registration is required by noon on Dec. 12. Families can sign up by emailing farmerjonesavbg@gmail.com with the child’s name, age, and membership status.
Alta Vista Botanical Gardens are located at 1270 Vale Terrace Drive in Vista, at the top of the hill inside Brengle Terrace Park.
