SAN DIEGO–(PRNewswire)–Stern Pinball, Inc., the world’s oldest and largest producer of arcade-quality pinball machines, returns to San Diego Comic-Con International as both an exhibitor and a partner of the massive event.

Fans and players alike can expect to see Stern Pinball’s latest and greatest machines at its official booth, as well as at the new Pinball Ball Lounge located next door in the Marriott Marquis.

Attendees can find Stern Pinball with promo partners Nuclear Blast America and JSR Merchandising at booth #501 in Hall A of the San Diego Convention Center.

“International Comic-Con is our favorite event of the year! The convergence of pop culture, geek stuff cosplay and gaming is just amazing,” said Gary Stern, Chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball. “We are very excited to return this year to bring fans our latest titles as well as to debut (with Comic-Con International) the Pinball Lounge. It’s a great place to hang out, relax, and regroup while getting to play pinball with friends.”

The Pinball Lounge will be open from Thursday, July 20, through Sunday, July 23, in the Marriott Marquis’ Pacific Room 14-16. Casual players are encouraged to stop by the Pinball Lounge between 10:00 AM and 7 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday for free play.

For the more seasoned and serious pinball players the Pinball Lounge will be hosting tournament play. Everyone is welcome to enter the competition, but only the top four contenders will qualify to compete in the final. Competitors that want to take part in the tournament should visit the Pinball Lounge between 7 and 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, or on Sunday between 2 and 4 p.m. to compete in the qualifying rounds that will be held immediately afterward, from 9 to 10 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday, and from 4 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The final round of these tournaments between the top four contenders will take place immediately after the qualifying rounds, and each of these finalists will walk away with a prize.
