San Marcos, CA–TERI Campus of Life will host an intimate spring benefit concert, TERI Unplugged, featuring Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jason Mraz on April 25 at The Bornemann Theatre.
Limited to 200 guests, the one-night event is designed as an up-close musical experience supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Proceeds will directly benefit TERI Campus of Life, which has served the special needs community for more than 45 years through its programs, services and social enterprises.
In addition to Mraz, the lineup includes former American Idol contestant Adin Boyer, pop-rock performer Sara Jade, and San Diego Music Award-winning artist Matthew Phillips. The evening will also showcase the TERI Band, an ensemble of neurodiverse musicians enrolled in TERI programs, who are scheduled to perform alongside Mraz.
“TERI Unplugged represents what TERI is all about — connection, creativity and possibility,” said Cheryl Kilmer, founder and CEO of TERI Campus of Life. “By coming together through music, we can advance the completion of the TERI Campus of Life — a purpose-built, inclusive community where individuals and families thrive.”
TERI is working to secure a $3 million challenge grant from the Tom and Mary Tomlinson Foundation. Under the grant terms, every $2 raised through the concert will unlock an additional $1, accelerating construction of the campus, which is currently halfway complete. Planned additions include two non-public schools, a gymnasium, a technology center and a child development center.
The evening will begin with a hosted pre-show reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and beverages, followed by the concert, where each seat offers close proximity to performers and a direct connection to the cause.
