THE BASICS AND LOCATION

Kauai, Hawaii is a peaceful place, drawing nature lovers from around the world to visit and sometimes live here. In this hectic world, it can be a slow-paced paradise. It’s the oldest major Hawaiian Island, with amazing geographic diversity. Compromising an area of 552 square miles and has 90 miles of varying coastline and white sand beaches makes it a beachgoers and surfers paradise. And in the midst of all this splendor stands the majestic Marriott Vacation Club Kauai Beach Club, which is conveniently located just a short 15 minutes’ drive from the island’s Lihue Airport. The sprawling Marriott Resort & Kauai Beach Club offers romantic getaways for two to fun family vacations for six, with accommodations offering everything you need to unwind and refresh in Kauai Beach, located on the Kalapaki Bay. Guests will be able to experience the exceptional service that has earned the oceanfront resort a place in the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame.

THE ROOM

The resort offers studio one and two-bedroom villas, which are perfect for families and features two bathrooms and space for up to six people. You can also reserve one of their parlors for a convenient bed in a box that can add flexibility to your vacation. And of course you can stay connected while you’re in Lihue, thanks to complimentary internet access in your accommodations. Our ocean-front room with a king bed included pillow top mattress which inspired a peaceful sleep during our five days stay. Each of the facility’s selected rooms provides the opportunity for guests to gaze out at the ocean or the resort garden from your accommodations, most of which include balconies.

Beginning in August 2018 until the spring of 2019, all of the hotel’s rooms and guest towers will undergo a major renovation. Considering that Marriott took over the property in 1995, the renovation will be a welcome and timely strategic move.

Be sure to grab a slice of the world famous Hawaiian dessert, Hula Pie, which is the Island favorite and is nothing more than a mountain of pure dessert indulgence that impresses the heartiest eater.

Situated next to the hotel’s majestic grand pool and right beside the ocean, Kukui’s is a great place to relax and soak up the beauty and inhale the salt water while you wine and dine to the finest service you’ll ever experience. What’s more, this restaurant offers regular nightly buffets. Ho’omaika’i (Congratulation) to Marriott’s Resort & Kauai Beach Club Sous Chef, Jhonny “Rey” Montemayor, for creating sumptuous and creative dishes that were memorable and delicious! In addition the extraordinary hostess service provided by Cherine and Amy were simply exceptional.

Duke’s Restaurant and Barefoot Bar – Inspired by the natural beauty of the Garden Island, Duke’s creates an unforgettable casual dining experience that delights the senses. Indulge in delicious island specialties, fresh seafood, refreshing tropical drinks and live music as you gaze out into the bay. The bar is always busy and the bartenders are consummate professionals and fast! Kudos to Jake and Tiara for their tremendous customer service and knowledge of the menu, and on-the-spot recommendation to order the MaiTai cocktail, which was the best I have had on the island!

The consummate professionals at the Marriott Resort & Beach Club’s Concierge can hook you up to all the major attractions, including the Grand Canyon of Hawaii, WAIMEA CANYON pictured here.
