SAN DIEGO–Legoland California Resort gave young patients at San Diego’s Rady Children’s Hospital a surprise Halloween celebration to brighten their day.

Thursday’s Halloween event took place at the hospital’s Acute Care Pavilion.

The family-theme park’s Brick-or-Treat Party Nights costume characters performed and interacted with the children, some who came in costume, to the festivities.

Due to illnesses and medical treatments at the hospitals, many of the children are unable to attend Legoland or participate in trick-or-treat this Halloween season, so the resort brought the fun to them.

Children had the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the resorts’ characters, and build trucks and buildings with Legos with the resort’s master model builder.

Legoland hosts this special Halloween event annually at the hospital to bring a day full of cheer and laughter to the children.

Every Saturday night at 5 p.m., Legoland California transforms into the ultimate family Halloween party featuring the popular Ghost Cruise ride, new entertainment shows, a new pop-badge challenge, building activities, live music and special live entertainers throughout the park.

Plus, there are bonus treat stations inside Sea Life aquarium and live entertainment at the Legoland Hotels.
