SAN DIEGO–Ready Freddie? Killer Queen is bringing the music of Freddie Mercury and Queen to San Diego’s Balboa Theatre on June 27 for an evening ‘guaranteed to blow your mind.’

Formed in 1993, Killer Queen’s first public shows were at London University, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there 21 years earlier.

By 1995 Killer Queen’s UK popularity had grown to such an extent they secured a residency in London’s Strand Theatre, becoming the first tribute to have a show in the West End. In 1999, after returning from a tour of Europe and Russia, Suggs from Madness announced they had won the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band” at an awards ceremony in Leicester Square.

Tickets start at $40 and up. For ticket information, call (619)570-1100 or visit https://sandiegotheatres.org/killer-queen Killer Queen will perform on June 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Balboa Theatre, 868 Fourth Avenue at E Street  in downtown San Diego.
